Yesterday Monique and I drove up to Santa Monica to participate (as audience members) in the Mixergy event, Strut Your Stuff. Internet startups presented their sites to a panel of four amazing specialists, one being Alex Funk of digital-telepathy.
We walked around Third Street Promenade for a while, which I haven’t done in a while. Then we met up with Alex @ the Library Alehouse on Main Street. The food was mediocre (I got the seared ahi salad with a wasabi vinaigrette) but the beer was awesome. Great selection and great happy hour prices.
The Mixergy event itself was an awesome experience. Sean Percival was the SEO speaker, Jackie Peters was the Social Media, Alex Funk covered the topic of Widgets, and Nicole Jordan covered the PR aspect of startups. Check the digital-telepathy blog on 8.28 for a full breakdown of all of the startups and comments.
