New Web App

Today on ReadWriteWeb I read about this new web app called Fonolo.  Nobody likes calling customer service numbers for companies because you sit there for what seems like hours, trying to get a real live person on the telephone.  With Fonolo, you find the company you’re looking for on their website and it will display the company’s phone menu for you.  Instead of having to navigate the company’s phone tree yourself, you just find the department you need to call and click the button that reads “call here.”  Fonolo makes the call for you and once it finds the correct spot, it calls your cell phone and connects you.  It’s still in private beta, so you have to be invited in order to preview the service.  Once they leave beta, more features will be added.  To be invited, comment on the ReadWriteWeb blog.

It’s pretty ingenious, and surprising that no one thought of this before (besides gethuman.com).

Can you tell me who did your layout? I’ve been looking for one kind of like yours. Thank you.
